WEST LOTHIAN COUNCIL CIVIC RECEPTION
On 27th March West Lothian Council hosted a Civic Reception at Linlithgow Burgh Halls to recognise West Lothian B.A. men winning both the Scottish Cities & Counties Andrew Hamilton Trophy and the Matt Purdie Trophy and the ladies from Deans B.C. winning the Scottish Over 55 Fours during the 2024 season.

West Lothian Seniors team completed the double by adding the 2024 Matt Purdie Trophy to West Lothian’ Hamilton Trophy Team’s recent victory. The Seniors retained the Matt Purdie Trophy they won in 2023 by beating Stirling County by 22 shots.. Congratulations to all the squad players, Team Manager Ian McGill and his selectors.

PASSING OF PETER BALL (BLACKBURN B.C.)
It is with sadness that we have learned of the passing of Peter Ball, a true legend of our sport and an absolute gentleman. Peter was inducted into the West Lothian B.A. Hall of Fame in 2017 in recognition of all his achievements at all levels during his long and illustrious bowling career,, which included representing Scotland both outdoors and indoors.
We extend our sincere condolences to Peter’s family and friends. R.I.P. Peter.
Peter’s Funeral will take place at Livingston Crematorium on Friday 31 May at 2pm
